I made this fun print last night. It might be cute for children’s wear or stationary? Click the image to see it at full scale.

Gorgeous image from an art magazine circa 2009, sorry I can’t remember the name. Amazing colors!

monogram mania

Lately I have been painting monograms for weddings and personal stationery. I like using watercolors to give them a handmade touch. Let me know if you would like your own hand painted monogram!

minted

I recently joined minted.com, and submitted 4 entries for their personal stationery challenge. Minted is a great website, where designers participate in challenges creating a variety of paper goods. The public then votes on their favorites, and the winners become available for purchase. Winners also receive a prize amount and commission!

You can see all of my submissions here http://www.minted.com/designer/mae

Watercolor Paisley

A recent print I created using watercolors. Please note all of my work is copyrighted.

3D Elephants

Notice a common theme here? I love animals! Drawing them, painting them - even 3D rendering them! This one was a collaboration between my talented boyfriend, Graham, and myself. I created the pattern, and he did the 3D magic. Hopefully many more collaborations to come!

Free People

This is my first print I worked on at Free People. I started with a vintage print, created a layout and re-worked the colors. It is so exciting to see something I worked on online, and I can't wait to see more. And the reviews gave this tunic 5 stars!

Papier Fabrik

So you might be wondering what is Papier Fabrik? It was the name of my great grandfather's paper business in Germany! I think it translates to paper factory. But being that I am a textile and paper goods designer - I thought it was quite fitting for me :)

Z is for Zebra

I also painted this with my new inks. I love zebras, they are magical creatures.

Watercolor Butterflies

I recently bought a set of Dr. Marten's inks and I am kind of obsessed with them. The colors are so vibrant. I painted this a couple weeks ago, scanned it in and had fun with photoshop.
